About
Melissa is a Homeopath and Holistic Health Care Practitioner who received her honors degree in human biology from the University of Toronto. She earned her diploma in Homeopathic medicine and health science from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine, graduating on the Dean’s List. She is the recipient of the Boiron Award for a consecutive two years, in both academic excellence and excellence in clinical internship. Melissa is certified in Body Talk Fundamentals, and is an active member of the Ontario Homeopathic Association (OHA) and the International Body Talk Association (IBA).
Her passion for holistic health care began at a young age while working as a pharmacy technician, a position she held for over 10 years. The knowledge and experience she gained during her time here was invaluable, but it had also brought forth many concerns. Conventional medicine had it’s limitations- as does anything- but the side effects patients were experiencing from their pharmaceutical medications, as well as the lack of personal care patients felt they received from their medical doctors, made her curious about what alternatives were out there.
She was drawn to Homeopathy, not only because of it’s completely individualist approach to health, but because Homeopathic treatment works to establish a complete elimination of all symptoms, not just a palliation, as conventional drugs do, and it does this non-toxically and with virtually no side effects. After all, “The physicians high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure...”1
